Today was a challenging day. 86 miles, 85 degrees and 2,733 feet of climbing.
Two highlighhs from the ride were the Old Spanish Trail mural and the tunnel of trees near Tallahassee.
Unfortunately one of Bubbas trucks broke down so their was no pamper zone and the authors quickly improvised. More below.....
Adrian pulled into a gas station in Havanah, FL and noticed this mural. Wow, it was somewhat of a revalation since we thought we were cycling the southern tier and in fact have been cycling the Old Spanish Trail for part of the journey.
Notice the start at San Diego and finish in St. Augustine with many of the towns we stayed at in between like Yuma, Douglas, Gila Bend, Rodeo, El Paso, Ft. Hancock, Marianna, Tallahassee etc...

After Bubbas pamper zone truck broke down the authors were able to recover and walk across from the Quality Inn to Back Roads Crossing for happy hour. We had a great time with numerous coasters. Tommorow we cycle 77 miles to Live Oak, FL... Just 3 more days to go 🚴😁🚴
