Today was a rest day so we took the opportunity to visit the historic district in St. Francisville. This is a very nice community rich in history with many beautiful homes and churches. Enjoy the virtual tour....
Very nice visitor center in St. Francisville. The staff was very helpful and they provided a useful map of 29 historical sites to visit within a half mile of the visitor center. Be sure to stop in if you ever visit St. Francisville.
This courthouse was built in 1903 to replace the 1862 structure.
The Grace Episcopal Church was built in 1827 and is the second oldest Episcopal Church in Lousiana. Shelled during the Cival War, the church began to rebuild with final restoration in the 1880s.
While inside the Grace Episcopal Church Adrian made a short prayer for the health and safety of the C2C group as we cycle to St. Augustine, FL.
The next 14 days we have 13 riding days and one final rest day. The time is sure flying by fast for the group. It is with both excitement and sadness we are starting to feel as this jouney is about to conclude 🚴
