The 68 mile ride from Opelousas to St. Francisville was a significant milestone for Adrian and Henry. Today we crossed the Mississippi River!! As Midwesterners this is the first landmark that we have passed where we feel like we are getting closer to home.

We ended the day celebrating two Coast 2 Coast birthdays, (Jim & Ellen). Joe pictured here purchased a fine bottle of Scotch to share with the entire group. Tomorrow is a rest day before we cycle 86 miles to Franklinton, LA.
