Day 34 - Shepherd to Silsbee

Cool riding conditions today with 10 mph East headwind most of the day.  This was an interesting day with varied scenery and we were able to meet Kevin White a self supported rider heading to San Diego.

Trinity Lake early in the morning.

We are starting to see signs that we are getting closer to bayou country.

This is the kind of thing Adrian and Henry are accustomed to seeing in Wisconsin.

Long flat forested stretches on the route.

We definitely moved from beef country into horse country.  These metal fences are made from reclaimed oil rig pipes.

We both spoke with Kevin White heading to San Diego.  He was carrying nearly 100 pounds of gear.  That's why Henry and Adrian rely on Bubba's Pampered Peddalers service.

Adrian stopped at Morina's to get his hair cut. What a fun experience.

Photo with the four stylists at Morina's.  The owner sent me a message saying....thank you so much for stopping by our barber shop this morning.  It was my pleasure to be of service to such a nice and handsome man 😉

  1. not much climbing left on the trip. Make sure you check out the alligators you will be seeing soon and make sure you try the alligator at one of your restaurant stops
