Strong south head winds for most of the ride. Our average speed dropped nearly six miles per hour. The good news is after eight days of cycling we have our first layover day in Catalina State Park. Since leaving San Diego on March 3rd we have traveled 501 miles and climbed 13,513 feet 🚴
Campsite at Catalina State Park.
The cactus appear ready to bloom in a few weeks.
Ann is a phenominal chef and her husband Serge handles all logistics and setup. Every meal is a real treat! For example, for dinner we had grilled salmon, chicken, sweet potatoes, green beans, fresh greens and ice cream. Thank you Ann & Serge!!
Laundry day every 3 to 5 days. See Frances tucked behind the laundry in the background 😉
Just by chance a wedding reception was across from our campground. Adrian walks over and introduces himself to Emiliy & Jose at their wedding reception. It's all about the people you meet along the way.....

This blog is great, but I have not heard about any great craft beers yet? Is AA a sponsor on this ride?
