Day 26 - Riverbend on the Frio River

A very relaxing and leisurely day off at the Riverbend campground.  The Riverbend on the Frio River is a popular tubing destination during the warm summer months since Frio is Spanish for cold. Tomorrow we resume our cycling adventure in the Texas hill country.

Here are five of the C2C cyclists relaxing on their day off taking a walk near the Frio River. Left to right are Linda, Julie, Amy, Maggie & Sue.

A beautiful swirling clear water hole at the Riverbend.

C2C camp scene looking over the Frio River. Very peaceful and pleasant.  We were lucky to call this home for two days.

Some of the group were lucky to have nicely equipped cabins to spend two nights in.  Gary, Henry and Adrian found while they had a nice kitchen there was no food or drink to be had so they repurposed the kitchen into the bike cleaning zone.

We also found a way to do our own laundry 😉

Goats seem to be happily runnung wild at the Riverbend and Maggie appears to a talented C2C goat whisperer.
