Day 22 - Marathon to Sanderson

Happiness is a warm day (88 degrees) going downhill and enjoying lunch with a pistol packing waitress at the Ranch House in Sanderson, Texas.

Meet our waitress at the Ranch House Restaurant.   Now that we have your attention lets share more about our day....

We experienced a beautiful sunrise this morning at camp in Marathon, Texas.

Another sparse road shot cycling through the desert.  We are told the next few days we will begin to see green vegetation.

Back to the Ranch House resturant.  Our waitress with all of the cyclists was starting to feel overwhelmed but....

..understandably we decided not to complain 😉

View of the Ranch House with the carnage of a missing sign (presumably shot out) and all of our bikes parked out front.

In a town with a waitresses with a gun why would it be unreasonable to see a dianasour chasing a bike rider like Maggie.

This is the first time C2C bikes have ever been neatly organized in a rack.  Photo taken in front of the Sanderson High School.

To many of you this gym scene may look like people who have lost homes after a natural disaster.  But in reality for us it's a cool shady spot after a long day in the desert we call home.

  1. Looks like a true bike Wisconsin ride. And even have Henry stalking out the special corner site.
